The Innocence of a Child

It is such a Gift and a Blessing to be able to follow a young child both growing and developing and that has been the case with two of my special friends son Jackson in the USA

I have built up such a collection of photo's even from the the first scan, also video's which allow me to follow his growing even more in a personal way

The sweetest thing in this last few days is how Jack has started to say his Prayers along with his Mom at bedtime, the description just melts me, how after his dinner, she asked if he was tired and he rubbed his eyes nodded his head Yes, how sweet and then said his little prayers in his own words.

It brings back memories of how I would kneel at the foot of my bed with Mum, there is nothing so innocent and God like of a child. Bless Jack and also Boston, the son of two more special friends as they both grow in Grace.

I have been able to watch three brothers, Noah, Elijah and Spencer as they have also grown also, but they are real young boy's now, it is so clear to see that those early days have played an important part in their life. I will always be Grateful for the Guidance I was given, which has made me what I am.

CHANGE 08 - PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA

NOVEMBER 4 2008 has become historic, two years hard work has been accomplished, CHANGE has been achieved, PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA!

Now we must look forward BARACK OBAMA has been a clear mandate, it is time for everyone to Unite - YES WE CAN!

Senator John McCain was gracious in his concession speech, except for a few loyal supporters - PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA showed no euphoria in his acceptance speech, he represented in Grant Park "THE SPIRIT OF THE PEOPLE"

LES MISBARACK - ONE MORE DAY TO GO!

It's just two years ago since they told us "IT CAN'T BE DONE" but now we have ONE MORE DAY TO GO! to bring about CHANGE with BARACK OBAMA

The last few weeks of the campaign have been hard, there has been so much negative attacks, but we are now so close, these must be no complacency about poll results showing Barack Obama with a lead, every Vote counts until that last voting station Tuesday evening on the West Coast closes.

One More Day to Go! come on give it every last effort, get every vote out for BARACK OBAMA that you can and then we can truly say YES WE CAN!

Politics - Family - Church

Just less than a week to go to the USA Election, Polls still show Barack Obama in the lead, but this should never lead to complacency, it is getting the Vote out until those polls close on November 4th that counts.

Today I was saddened in some ways to read a BLOG from a Special Friend in the USA, which seemed to follow a Church line and the defence of the family to support the so called conservative candidate.

The same Blog went onto to attack Europe and the UK for it National Health Service, as social handouts. It was said on a visit to the UK while she was pregnant she was advised when not feeling well to not go to a NHS Hospital and if she did do not drink the water. Yes we have had problems in the UK but I would rather any day to have a Health Service Free at the Point of Need! rather than the US system of "it's okay for me jack" I can afford it! - I had state of the art new heart surgery on the NHS and I can not say one bad word, I did not need to produce an health insurance card and it say what the insurer would and would not pay!

The USA Election 2008 has become nasty and dirty and one that the world looks on at and does not like! - far right extremists want to fear monger and make personal attacks rather than Policy! and the Candidate himself is as much to blame.

The true legacy of the last eight years is Iraq, how we were told about these weapons of mass destruction, look at the serious loss of young lives of both our young in the military, also those who have been so severely crippled and emotionally damaged and McCain says he will stay there for 30 more years? is that what we want for our young people?

People question the stance on abortion and gays and they are very emotive subjects, but often they are ignorant of all the facts and just agree with what they are told. I have a very strong Christian Faith and I was brought up in a truly loving Family, but my parents let me go and allowed me to make my decisions! - yes I made some mistakes, but I was willing to admit it. I do feel strong though that is not out place to Judge others, it is us at the end who will be Judged! and only by ONE! - having a Church membership card will not bring any guarantees.

Barack Obama is a True loving family man, his decisions will not be just for one section of society, but what is best for the USA and that will affect the world if he is elected. I just hope and Pray in this time of hatred from some that he will be kept Safe.

LEVI STUBBS JNR..

June 6, 1936 - October 17, 2008
R.I.P.

Earlier this afternoon I received the email that I have dreaded for so long, as soon as I saw the headline. my heart stopped, the tears rolled and then flowed, LEVI STUBBS JNR the Lead Singer of THE FOUR TOPS had sadly passed away.

The Four Tops was the first single I bought at 12 and then the first live concert I went to on my own at 14. The dynamic voice of LEVI had me in his hands from that moment, never did I imagine that I would get to interview him and The Four Tops many times and come to think of him as a Friend and like a second Father Figure, Levi inspired me and gave me such inspiration.
Levi first suffered from prostrate cancer which he fought and then a stoke, he last performed with The Four Tops in 2000, but he still regularly attended concerts to watch the current line up. A few years back I was invited to go over and visit Levi, it saddens me that that my health stopped me going to see him.

Classic songs like "Ask The Lonely" my all time favourite, "Reach Out" and "Baby I Need Your Loving" have been a part of my life, when I became a radio DJ it was a pleasure to play the music that had brought me so much Joy! - I can never thank you enough LEVI, no one can take away the Memories you have given me, I will miss You so much!

My Prayers and Thoughts are with Levi's Dear Wife Clineice, their five children and all the Family.

LEVI I WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH - MAY YOU BE IN HEAVEN THIS NIGHT!

I AM ALSO WORRIED!

I am really concerned how one woman that people in the US and The World know so little about in just over one week has impressed so many? why are they being fooled so easily.

Sarah Palin fully backed what has become known as "The Bridge to Nowhere" in Alaska and when it all started to go wrong she changed her mind, this week she told a LIE when she said she Never supported it - she did!

Unlike many in the US here in the UK we do not believe in guns, Sarah does and she thinks it is funny. Palin has chose to Ban Book is Alaska Public Libraries that she did not agree with.

BARACK OBAMA has had that many personal slurs made about him including the church he attended, many of these came from the republican party who seem to like to play Dirty, but nothing is said about the church that Sarah attends, she was sat in a pew when he Pastor delivered his sermon that "Jews will go to Heaven" and they also believe Gays can and should be cured, we are on 2008!!!!!

An ailing McCain may never last a full term in office, can we Trust Sarah Palin with so much power, someone we know so little about, in Fact two weeks ago John McCain knew very little and had never spoken to her, she has been brought in as just a Front to try and pick up on a Hillary R Clinton woman factor. Palin has No input at all in her convention speech, it was written by an ex Bush speech writer with McCain's Team, very few people know she had problems in rehearsals even reading some words on the auto cue, so they had them written down as said in the end and not as spelt! - few know McCain has said no Live Interviews with Sarah until after the election, only scripts! that she will be given to read from!

This next US Election is so important to the US and also The World, are Voters going to be Fooled by this woman, I am worried and you should be as well, Truth must be told !

Olympic's 2008 - 24 Hour News - Robert Newbery

It's Great currently to wake up and receive
such clear television pictures of the
OLYMPICS 2008 Live from China daily.

This morning it was the turn of the Diving
of course Great Britain all had high hopes
of our 14 year old TOM DALEY but to be
realistic it may?? be 2012 here in London. I did feel for BLAKE ALDRIDGE, Tom's Diving Pairs Partner, Tom needs to learn it is about TWO not just yourself.

It was so good to see one of my own personal favourites Aussie ROBERT NEWBERY (Pictured in China) who I have followed since he was 18 and still some years later he still looks good and did so well this morning, he richly deserved more. Great sportsmen like Robert inspire and are such a great role model for young up and coming Olympic Prospects!

We are so fortunate that television pictures can be beamed around the world so quickly and so clear, but it is not always good news. This last weekend and this morning we see the pointless loss of life and damage being done to Georgia - when will greed stop action like this happening and powers that are strong trying to show their might when they are just plain Bullies!

Recently we had pictures of earthquakes in Asia and it allows us to see the hurt and pain these people suffered, but it alerts us to help at the same time.
